Behind the Desk: A Day in the Life at Blackout

Front desk shifts run from open to close, and no two days look the same. Here's a rough shape of a Saturday.

Opening

Stations are checked, updated, and logged out from the night before. The tournament corner gets wiped down and the day's bracket goes up on the lobby screen.

Afternoon

Walk-ins pick up through the afternoon — mostly casual drop-ins and the occasional birthday group booking the console room.

Evening

The floor fills for league night. Squad rooms are booked back-to-back, and the kitchen counter gets its busiest rush of the week.

Close

Last call is thirty minutes before closing, stations are logged out, and the following day's bookings are printed for the morning desk shift.
